The only restrictions Massachusetts has in place pertaining to boating are that all state run boat ramps are still open but people using them need to be Massachusetts residents. In recent weeks we have seen some stories in the news about people leaving the state they live to travel to other states who have less restrictions in place. Florida put a rule in place that anybody with a private dock or boat already in the water could continue using their boat while maintaining a safe distance from others on the water but all public boat ramps and docks have been closed which has caused some controversy. Washington state banned fishing of all kinds for the first few months of the Coronavirus pandemic but reopened everything as of May 5th
